At the CTIA conference in New Orleans, Qualcomm demonstratated the following:
These announcements are exciting, as you can get an glimpse to where things are heading. The current EVDO can easily handle VOIP, however, having EVDO optimized for VOIP will allow the calls to be even clearer and the network more efficient to handle more calls.
