Measuring EVDO Signal Strength using VZAccess Manager |

 Besides the signal bars (0 thru 4), there is a more detailed way to see how strong your signal is. This tip will only work on PC (Not Mac) and requires that you are running VZAccess Manager (Not MCM).
- Open VZAccess
- Select the Option menu and select Test WWAN Device.
You should see a graph like this:
The number above the thermometer, is the strength of your signal. In the above graph, the signal is 45%. To improve the signal, you can do the following:
- move the laptop around and click the Retest button
- Add a Booster Antenna
- If you already have a booster antenna, rotate it in different directions, until you find the best direction to receive a signal
