As new EVDO towers are installed, your internal PRL (preferred roaming list) list must be updated, so that you can experience high speed EVDO communication.
If you look in the about box there is something called PRL version. The PRL (preferred roaming list) is an internal list of antenna towers that your PC Card knows about and can communicate with. As new EVDO towers are installed, your internal PRL list must be updated, so that you can experience high speed EVDO communication. If you are traveling to a new city, or at least once a month, you should update the PRL.
