EVDOforums User Finds Fix For LinkSys WRT54G3G-ST EVDO Speed IssuesThe tip described here applies only to the original LinkSys WRT54G3G-ST router, which has since been replaced with the WRT54G3GV2. In the Linksys WRT54G3GV2-ST with 1.00.14 firmware these options are already set correctly.
The LinkSys WRT54G3G-ST Router was a VERY popular router, BUT many users experienced upload speed issues. Many users found that their upload speeds were cut in half when they used their wireless modem in the router as opposed to directly in their computer, but thanks to EVDOforums user Pontiaccer we have a fix for this issue! Here are the steps to follow: Login in to the router admin
Under "Applications and Gaming", select "QOS"
Under "Wired QOS" click the button for Enable
For "Upstream Bandwidth", select "Manual" and type in 3100 in the box next to it.
