Franklin Wireless Launches CGU-628 Mobile Broadband USB Modem for HSDPA Networks
SAN DIEGO, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Oct 15, 2007 -- Franklin Wireless Corp, a developer and marketer of wireless broadband communications devices and applications, today unveiled the Franklin Wireless CGU-628 HSDPA mobile broadband USB modem, a compact, light-weight device that enables global connectivity The Franklin Wireless CGU628 offers the flexibility of HSDPA in tri-band 850/1900/2100 MHz and in quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz capability. The CGU-628 provides high-speed connectivity to HSDPA networks with data speeds up to 7.2 Mbps. The extremely compact CGU-628 USB modem, available in 4Q 2007, weighs just 25 grams and provides a flexible way for users to connect to the ultra-fast HSDPA network since it is compatible with any laptop, tablet PC or desktop USB port and operates with Windows and Macintosh operating systems. One differentiating feature of the CGU-628 product is the onboard flash memory, which eliminates the need for a CD or CD drive to install the factory pre-stored connection software for PC and Mac computers.
