Expanding on Verizon Wireless' successful 2005 launch of the award-winning Kyocera KPC650 1x EV-DO Rev. 0 PC Card, the new Kyocera KPC680 ExpressCard delivers increased productivity and maximized performance. The KPC680 ExpressCard is optimized for Verizon Wireless' Rev. A network and operates with the company's BroadbandAccess service. Providing average download speeds of 600 kilobits per second (kbps) to 1.4 megabits and average upload speeds of 500-800 kbps, BroadbandAccess from Verizon Wireless allows customers in Rev. A coverage areas to download a 1 Megabyte e-mail attachment -- the equivalent of a small PowerPoint® presentation or a large PDF file -- in as few as eight seconds and upload the same-sized file in as few as 13 seconds. The KPC680 features a breakthrough antenna design that moves the antenna away from the device as it is opened, providing greater sensitivity, dual external antenna ports for signal flexibility, and a compact form factor.
