It is 2AM, You Cannot Connect to Sprint EVDO, Change your HA
If you're having a connection issue during a time of day when you can't
get in touch with 3Gstore.com or Sprint, all hope may not be lost. Some
of these connection issues can be fixed by changing your HA (Home
Address).
We have a pretty extensive thread on EVDOForums.com discussing how to do this:
Sprint ##DATA tuning (changing Home Agent)
The process is relatively easy, the only problem we foresee customers
having is not knowing their MSL/Activation Code. If you're a
3GStore.com EVDO Card customer, here are instructions on how to find
that number:
1. Log in to
3GStore.com with your email address. If it tells you that your password
is incorrect or that an account already exists with that email address,
just click on "Forgot Password" and an email will be sent with a new
password.
2. Once you are logged in, you will have access to the information you
need. Click on "My Account" at the top, and find the order for your
EVDO card. Click on "View", and you will see all comments made on your
order.
3. One of the comments should have a format like this (the numbers will be different, of course):
PTN 3256661234 (this is your phone number of your aircard)
ESN/MEID 09104612345
MSID 000004820535723 (drop the leading zeros for your MSID)
SID/BID 23722
One time Subsidy Lock 923423
Alternative Lock 420473
The 6-digit "Alternative Lock" number listed is the MSL/Activation Code
required to change your HA. And that's it! That's everything you need
to know to change your HA and hopefully fix any connection issues you
may have been having.
Besides fixing some connection problems, changing your HA may also increase your speed.
