3Gstore helps gaming customers get online with EVDO

3Gstore Gets Gamers Online with EVDO

Online gaming is hot and getting hotter. Last christmas season even more players got the latest game consoles from Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft with the hopes of playing online with milllions of others around the world.

The best connectivity for online gaming is a fast cable or DSL connection, but what about those folks who live in more remote areas where 'common' cable and DSL just aren't so common?

For many of these gamers, internet connectivty has been through snail-slow dial-up ISP's (remember those?), and online gaming via dial-up is simply not possible.

Many of these folks have also experimented with satellite 'broadband'... only to learn the meaning of "Latency". It takes forever to get a signal out into space and all the way back again. By the time you do, you're dead meat in that 1st person shooter.

More and more of these desparate gameplayers are now finding themselves in EVDO Rev-A coverage as Sprint and Verizon expand into more rural areas each month.

Each month that a new rural area gets covered, EVDO is "new" again to a large group of people.

The number of calls and forum posts from folks who say "they just turned on EVDO in my area and I want to know if its good enough for online gaming" continues to grow with each passing day/week/month.

For these folks just learning about EVDO, getting things to work isn't always that simple. While the average sprint or verizon store employee is very likely to be a gamer, they just don't USE the EVDO data devices their employer sells, and if you ask them about EVDO and gaming... well how can their opinion count if they've never tried it?

Over these past few weeks, the EVDO Experts at 3GStore have spent countless hours developing a PDF document that will be made available exclusively to 3Gstore customers who have bought their CradlePoint Router and Sprint or Verizon EVDO device with service through 3gstore.com and want help getting the best possible online gaming gear.

We can only provide this PDF document to 3gstore customers because there will be a significant amount of tech support needed, and we simply cannot afford to provide that support to non-3gstore-customers.

If you bought your CradlePoint Router and EVDO device with service from 3gstore and want to get your online game on...

This 8 page PDF only supports the CradlePoint CTR350 , PHS300 or the upcoming MBR1000 routers. We selected these routers because of their data shaping, and quality of service support allow can make a huge difference. This PDF covers Wii, PlayStation 3 and xBox/xBox 360 and Ethernet OR wireless connections to your CradlePoint router.
