Sprint Recognized by Frost & Sullivan for Leadership in GPS
"Sprint has led the wireless industry in offering location-based
services since introducing the first location and mobility solutions
in 2000 and the first GPS-enabled phone in 2001," said Kevin
Packingham, vice president of wireless data product management for
Sprint. "We are pleased to be recognized by Frost & Sullivan for our
industry-leading portfolio of business GPS solutions, as well as our
popular Sprint Navigation application."
"By continuing to address the evolving demands of its customers,
Sprint has established itself as a leader in the LBS space and is
expected to advance LBS in the wireless industry in years to come,"
said Brent Iadarola, Frost & Sullivan Global Research Director.
