AnyDATA Corp. announced today that its newest CDMA product, the DTG2000 module, has been approved for use on the Verizon Wireless network. Product manufacturers requiring an embedded CDMA modem for wireless applications or solutions can use the new CDMA module. Features include voice, GPSONE, Mobile IP/Static IP, a fully functional internal TCP/IP stack, and a very small footprint for easy integration. The DTG2000 can transmit and receive wireless data on the Verizon Wireless CDMA network in one of three ways: asynchronous dial-up service, short message service (SMS), or 1XRTT packet data service. According to the vendor, solutions that currently use CDPD technology can migrate to Verizon Wireless' NationalAccess service with few modifications. The DTG2000 module is optimized to integrate into SmartPhones and wireless access terminals, traffic light and outdoor lighting control, wireless point-of-sale credit card terminals, real-time data acquisition via wireless Internet, wireless parking meter control, location-positioning asset tags, wireless remote alarms, security monitoring systems and wireless telemetry systems such as commercial and residential electric/water meters. This would be the perfect product to make our GPS, WebCam, Mapping article into a small portable product. |
