Sprint Enhances EVDO Rev-A Network, Expands Coverage in the Empire State

Sprint Mobile Broadband with EV-DO (Evolution – Data Optimized) Revision (Rev.) A technology, combined with a wide variety of EV-DO Rev. A-capable devices, allow customers to send and receive e-mail with large file attachments instantly, do more with immediate internet access, and enjoy fast streaming video and other real-time applications, as well as location-based solutions, on the go.

During 2007, Sprint enhanced EVDO Rev A mobile broadband coverage to 236 sites and added 16 new sites in the Upstate, New York area. Sprint added 204 new cell sites to its Nationwide Sprint and Nextel National networks in New York State in 2007. The vast majority of the Sprint Mobile Broadband Network has been upgraded to faster EV-DO Rev. A technology.
