Now that you have selected your Sprint phone or PDA , it's time to select your calling plan and the features that you need. There are a LOT of different options, and it can get a little confusing. What is included in each plan? Do I have to pay extra for text messaging? What if I want to use my phone as a modem?

Sprint offers several different options for voice/data plans for your phone, including ones that include data and messaging and ones that are for voice only. Please review these plans carefully to learn about what is included and what is not.

ALL Sprint voice plans automatically come with the following:

• Voicemail: Your phone's answering service. Voicemail answers your calls and takes messages when you are not available.
• Call Waiting: Like a second line for your phone, Call Waiting lets you decide whether to switch to the new call-or send it to Voicemail.
• Caller ID: View the phone number of an incoming call, so you know who is calling before your answer. All unanswered calls automatically roll over to your Voicemail.
• Caller ID Block: Block your phone number from appearing on the phone of the person you're calling.
• Three-Way Calling: Talk to two people at the same time. You can initiate Three-Way Calling even if you didn't start the phone call (airtime and long-distance charges apply for both of the calls in your Three-Way Calling party).
• Call Forwarding: Forward incoming calls to the phone number you specify. ($0.20/minute).
• Numeric Paging: Set your Voicemail to allow callers to send a numeric page to your phone.
• Sprint 411: Access Directory Assistance. Just dial 411 from your Sprint or Nextel phone to get dinner reservations, movie listings, driving directions and more ($1.79/call, airtime charges also apply).
• Emergency Calls: Call 911 from anywhere in our network with no airtime charges.
• Non-Emergency Calls: Report traffic accidents, motorist problems, careless drivers or other non-emergency incidents using special dialing numbers (such as #77, 311).
• Rates & Fees: Monthly charges exclude taxes, Sprint Surcharges [incl. USF charge of up to 11.4% (varies quarterly), Administrative Charge (up to $1.99/line/mo.), Regulatory Charge ($0.20/line/mo.) & state/local fees by area]. SIMPLY EVERYTHING plan: This plan includes EVERYTHING for $99/month! Unlimited messaging, data, calling, and navigation. No overage charges.

• GPS: Unlimited maps, turn-by-turn directions and more with Sprint Navigation for Sprint and PowerSource phones, or TeleNav for Nextel phones. GPS reliability varies by environment.
• Sprint Mobile Email: Access multiple personal email accounts in a single application on featured phones. Providers include: AOL, Windows Live (including MSN/Hotmail), Yahoo! and Gmail.
• Sprint Mobile Email Work: Access and manage your corporate email and contacts on compatible phones - multiple personal, Web-based accounts too. Supports Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003/2007 accounts (via your phone's Microsoft Outlook client) and Lotus Domino 6.0/6.5/7.0 accounts (via Desktop Redirector software you can download to your PC and then use to direct email to your phone).
• BlackBerry Internet Server (BIS): Manage up to 10 different accounts with a simple three-click email setup, and IM on the go with Yahoo! Messenger, AIM,
• Google Talk and BlackBerry Messenger. Please note: BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), which provides secure corporate email access and access to corporate IT administration, is not included and available for an additional cost.
• Music Premier: 99 music downloads and unlimited access to more than 150 channels lets you listen to millions of melodies.
• TV Premier: Your favorite shows on the go with more than 20 channels to choose from, including Comedy Central, MTV, Discovery, Nickelodeon and more. Messaging: Unlimited nationwide, text, picture and video messages to anyone on any network.
• Direct Connect and Group Connect: Unlimited instant connections, nationwide and at the push of a button. Group Connect is limited to 20 participants on the same network.
• Phone as modem or tethering: not included.
• Corporate, government or special discounts: Do not apply.

EVERYTHING DATA plan: This plan includes 450 or 900 voice minutes plus UNLIMITED messaging and data use.

BASIC TALK plan: This plan includes 200, 450 or 900 voice minutes.

• Talk: Unlimited mobile to mobile, night calling and weekends starting at 7 p.m., nationwide long distance and no roaming charges/li>
• Unlimited nights and weekends start at 9pm for 200-minute plan.

Family Plans (Share with 2+ Phones)

FAMILY Talk Share plan - Voice only: This plan includes a voice allowance to share, but no messaging or data is included. If you plan to tether, you'll need to select a data package in Step 2.

This plan is best for: If you use your phones primarily for calling and don't plan on using any extra services like data or text messaging, this is a great, affordable option.

FAMILY Talk/Message Share plan - Voice and Messaging: This plan includes a voice allowance plus unlimited messaging for two phones - data is NOT included (but you can add it to any/all of the phones in step 2). Each additional phone will add $9.99/month to the plan. If you plan to tether, you'll need to add a data plan in Step 2 to the phone you'll be tethering.

This plan is best for: If you have a good idea of how many voice minutes you'll need and want to enjoy unlimited messaging but WON'T need data, select this plan.

FAMILY Talk/Message/Data Share plan - Voice, Data, and Messaging: This plan includes a voice allowance plus unlimited data and messaging for two phones. Each additional phone will add $19.99/month to the plan. With this plan you can add the tethering feature for $15/month.

This plan is best for: If you have a good idea of how many voice minutes you'll need and want to enjoy unlimited data and messaging, the Family Share Everything plan will work great for your needs.

Select Your Plan step 2: Select your FEATURES. There are several features available for your phones. Please read through this carefully, as some of the plans above already include some of these features!

Select Your Plan step 3 - the final step!!: If you would like to use your phone as a modem - AKA "tethering" - the cost is $15.00 per month. Unlike when you sign up for EVDO service with a dedicated device like a USB modem or ExpressCard, you are NOT locked into paying for the feature for the duration of your contract. This is a feature that you can add and remove (at no charge) to your plan as you need it! This is a great option for people that would like to have mobile broadband access occassionally but won't be using it often enough to necessitate the purchase of a dedicated modem and service. Simply call us to add the feature, then call to remove it when you no longer need it - and only pay for the days the feature is active.

Please note: Not every phone is tether-capable! If you know that you need this feature, make sure that you check the listed features on the phone or PDA you selected.

If you plan to add tethering, you will need to select a "Basic Talk" plan as well as a data package. You cannot add tethering to the Simply Everything or Everything plans.
