Verizon to Stop Refunding Activation Fees
On the heals of Sprint's announcement to begin refunding activation fees to customers, Verizon has made their own announcement in the opposite vain.
Effective immediately, Verizon will no longer be refuding your $35 activation fee when you cancel after the first three days of your contract. Prior to today, customers canceling within the first 30 days would receive a refund for the activation that they paid upon beginning their contract, but that will no longer be the case. Now, only customers canceling their new contract on day 1, 2, or 3 will be eligible for a refund; those canceling between days 4-30 will have the ETF waived but Verizon will be keeping the activation fee.
