Effective immediately, Verizon's 3G broadband service, formerly known as BroadbandAccess, is now known as Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband. The name change is just that - nothing has changed besides the name of the service. Terms of service, pricing, products, etc will remain unchanged.

Verizon announced the new name this week as part of an effort to offer plans and products whose names are easy to understand. According to the company, "our customers have asked for product names that are easy to understand. We have listened to our customers and as a result we have made the name change. This is simply a name change and customers will still enjoy the same high quality service with high-speed wireless Internet."
