Verizon expands 3G / EVDO coverage in Illinois![]() Three New Cell Sites Mean Clearer Reception and Fewer Dropped Calls The new Hinsdale cell site improves coverage along U.S. Interstate 294, north to 55th Ave., south to Joliet Road, west to Madison Ave., and east to Willow Springs Road. The new La Salle cell site improves coverage in the town of La Salle, north to Shooting Park Road, south to North 2575th Road, west to Illinois Route 251 and east to North Columbia Avenue The new Lake Bluff cell site improves coverage in the following areas:

Fox, president-Illinois/Wisconsin Region, Verizon Wireless. "The value we offer our customers is closely tied to our industry-leading customer retention," Fox said. The new cell sites is part of Verizon Wireless' continual effort to expand coverage, increase capacity and enhance the quality of its wireless voice and data network in Illinois and throughout the country. Verizon Wireless has invested more than $50 billion since it was formed - $5.5 billion on average every year - to increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide network and to add new services.
