Verizon expands 3G / EVDO coverage in Easton & Penfield, Ohio

Ohio, July 14 --Verizon Wireless, the wireless company with the highest customer loyalty, has activated a new cell sites near Easton and Penfield, which will enable more customers to use their wireless phones concurrently to make calls; send and receive email and text, picture and video messages; access the Internet; and download games and ringtones,while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.

The new Easton cell site improves coverage:

• East along State Route 604 from just east of County Road 57A to State Route 585;
• South along State Route 57 from Milton Road to just north of Pleasant Home Road;
• Southeast along State Route 585 from State Route 94 to State Route 57;
• South along State Route 94 from State Route 604 to just north of Pleasant Home Road.

The new Penfield cell site improves coverage:

• South along State Route 301 from just south of County Road 45 to Lovers Lane Road;
• East along State Route 18 from just east of State Route 38 to County Road 63;
• East along Jones Road from just east of State Route 38 to just west of County Road 63.

This network improvement is part of Verizon Wireless' continual effort to expand coverage, improve capacity and enhance the quality of its wireless voice and data network in Ohio and throughout the country. Verizon Wireless has invested more than $50 billion since it was formed -- $5.5 billion on average every year -- to increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide network and to add new services. In the first half of this year, the company invested more than $160 million in its Ohio network.
