Cradlepoint Releases Firmware 2.4.5 which fixes a major software issue for PHS300

Cradlepoint's released their latest edition of firmware for the PHS300 mobile router. The Update fixes a major issue which could cause permanent damage to your router. When the router is operational, it saves changes to built-in flash memory. When doing this the router is accessing important operational files. If the router is performing these operations while on battery power and the battery runs out, it could cause irreparable damage to your router, effectively turning it into a doorstop (aka bricking your router). This latest version of firmware (2.4.5 and greater) disables the router from making these changes when the battery is low enough to turn the indicator light red.

3Gstore is urging PHS300 users to download and install this latest firmware as soon as possible to prevent possible damage. Our tech department has seen cases where this has happened.
