Solve the Cradlepoint + Windows XP/Vista Saved Settings Problem

If you're using a computer running Windows XP or Vista and you're seeing an error message about the settings saved on your computer not matching the requirements of the network when you try to connect to your Cradlepoint router, you're not alone: this frustrating little message is quite common amongst XP and Vista Cradlepoint users. Luckily, there's an easy way to fix it!  

Solution for Windows XP:

1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Network Connections
   
2. Right-Click on "Wireless Network Connection" and click on "Properties"
3. Click on the middle tab, "Wireless Networks"
4. In the "Preferred Networks" section, select the network name from the list and then "Remove".
   
5. 5. Click Ok, and Ok again
   
6. Click on "View Available Networks", select your network and click "connect".
   

Solution for Windows Vista:

1. Click on Control Panel > Classic View > Network and Sharing Center
   
2. Click on "Manage Wireless Networks" (on the left hand side).
   
3. Select your network and then click "remove" from the tab
   
4. Click on the "Network and Sharing Center" and then "Connect to a Network"
   
5. Search for your wireless network and connect again to your network.
