Solve the Cradlepoint + Windows XP/Vista Saved Settings Problem If you're using a computer running Windows XP or Vista and you're seeing an error message about the settings saved on your computer not matching the requirements of the network when you try to connect to your Cradlepoint router, you're not alone: this frustrating little message is quite common amongst XP and Vista Cradlepoint users. Luckily, there's an easy way to fix it! The Error: "The settings saved on this computer do not match the requirements of the network". This error message pops up when your computer connects to your router for the 2nd time with the same SSID but uses a different password. For example, let's say you named your network "Sam" the first time you connected, then something happened and you reset the router and named it "Sam" again but you put a different password - Windows gets confused because that password was not what you used the first time. All you need to do is delete the first profile and then windows can recognize the router again - it's as simple as that!Solution for Windows XP:
