Sprint Launches Interactive Now Network Experience at JFK International Airport
This first-of-its-kind installation space serves as a branding effort
for the Sprint Now Network. The 13-foot curved wall features the
Sprint
Now Network widget wall, including tailored New York factoids, a
mobile
hotspot demonstration video and other relevant highlights from
Sprint.
In addition to providing a needed utility for travelers at one of
the
busiest airports in the world, visitors will learn about Sprint's
signature products, 3G service and 4G capabilities. The back of
the
installation is a billboard showcasing five iconic devices
available
from Sprint.
The JFK Experience - featuring free MiFi connectivity - is located
directly after the security checkpoint and will be on-site until
December 2010. The MiFi 2200 by Novatel Wireless creates a
personal
cloud of high-speed Internet connectivity that can be easily
shared
among up to five users with a variety of WiFi-enabled devices
through
its connection to the EVDO Rev. A Sprint Mobile Broadband Network.
Sprint recently received PCMag.com's Best of 2009 Award for the
Sprint
MiFi 2200 Hotspot.
"Sprint lets you access what you want right now through its products
and
services," said Mike Goff, vice president of Corporate Marketing,
Sprint. "This latest high-tech installation at JFK airport
showcases the
brand's claim as the Now Network. With this installation, we're
touting
our advertising themes as well as providing a needed service to
travelers at one of the world's busiest airports."
