Franklin Wireless Announces the Launch of Its New 3G/4G USB U600 Modem With Sprint

SAN DIEGO, CA, Sep 02, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Franklin Wireless Corp today announced the availability of its new U600 3G/4G USB mobile broadband modem through Sprint. This versatile device is the most lightweight 3G/4G USB modem available from Sprint and is an ideal wireless broadband modem solution for today's on-the-go consumers. Franklin Wireless' new U600 modem represents the company's third generation 3G/4G device, and in addition to its much smaller size, includes many enhanced features including a 270-degree rotating hinge, four external antenna ports (two for 4G and two for 3G), FUMO (firmware update management object) and GPS Location Based Services while on 3G and 4G antenna TX diversity which optimizes uploads while on WiMAX.

Customers can get the U600 3G/4G USB modem from Sprint free of charge (excluding taxes) after a $50 mail-in-rebate, a $49.99 instant savings and with a two-year service agreement on a new line activation or eligible upgrade.

The U600 3G/4G USB modem supports Windows(R) 7, Windows Vista(R), Windows XP and Mac OS(R) 10.5, 10.6 with Intel. In addition, it has separate LED displays that make it easy for users to know whether they are connected to Sprint's 3G or 4G network.
