CTR35 3.0.8 to 3.2.1 WiFi as WAN Issues

The Problem: Users upgrading their CTR35's firmware from the 3.0.7 or 3.0.8 version to the latest 3.2.1 version are losing the connection to their local WiFi network.

The Solution: After upgrading to the latest version of firmware, you must manually remove the existing wireless profiles and then reselect the wireless network and re-enter any encryption that is set up on the host router.

Here's how delete and add a wireless network:
  1. Access your Cradlepoint admin interface at http://192.168.0.1 and enter your password
  2. In the upper left hand corner you'll see a button that says "Basic", click it to switch to advanced mode:
  3. After switching to "Advanced Mode" click on "Internet" and select "WiFi as WAN Settings" from the drop down menu and enable WiFi as WAN
  4. Under "Site Survey" place a check mark by the network you'd like to join and click the "import" button; enter your main network password and click submit:
  5. After clicking submit your settings should save and you will see the Internet Connection status at the top of the page change to solid green, indicating a connection has been established

Our Advice: If you haven't done the firmware update, prior to updating, go into "System Settings" and select "System Software" from the drop down list. You will see an option called "System Config Save/Restore", which will allow you to save all your saved profiles so that you can re-load them after you do the update. If you've already updated to 3.2.1 firmware, you'll need to follow the above steps to reconfigure your WiFi as WAN settings.
