iPhone iOS 5 Mobile Hotspot Breaks Cradlepoint WAW and Nexaira BC2 TetheringIf you already have a Nexaira or Cradlepoint router for iPhone tethering DO NOT upgrade to iOS 5. You WILL LOSE the ability to connect your iPhone to the router and will need to wait for both manufactures to release firmware updates to support this. We've contacted both the manufactures so they're aware of the issue and working on it. At this time we don't have an eta on when there will be a fix, but we will update this article when we receive more information. Let us know in the comments if you're having issues with your tethering via USB or WiFi as WAN! Update 1: We have confirmed that the Pepwave Surf Mini and Pepwave Surf On The Go isn't effected by iOS5. If you need something that supports iOS5 at this time we recommend the Pepwave Surf Mini. Update 2: Cradlepoint has released firmware for all NetBSD routers and now works with iPhone tethering on firmware version 3.4.0 or higher!
