Apple iPad 3 LTE Announcement March 7
According to iMore
Apple will be holding the iPad 3 announcement on March 7. The device
should feature a 2048x1536 Retina display, operate on a quad core A6 and
will likely feature 4G LTE built in. Verizon and AT&T are the
likely carriers for the U.S. and if the iPad 3 doesn't feature LTE,
Verizon would have a speed disadvantage over AT&T's upgraded HSPA+
network. However, if the device offers 4G LTE Verizon will have a
distinct advantage covering over 200 markets with 4G LTE where AT&T has only 15 4G LTE markets currently.
