First M2M Hardware Device to Use the Power of Next Generation 1X Wireless Network With Mobile IP Upgrades in Canada SAN DIEGO & VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 2005--Kyocera Wireless Corp., a leading global manufacturer of CDMA wireless handsets and devices, and Cypress Solutions, a Canadian provider of industrial wireless data products, today announced Cypress Solutions' new Chameleon(TM) CTM 132 using the award-winning Kyocera 200 Module. The Kyocera-enabled Chameleon CTM 132 combines leading CDMA technology with GPS and Internet capabilities for a rugged industrial cellular modem that allows data communication on virtually any CDMA network. Chameleon CTM 132 takes advantage of 1X wireless networks with mobile IP upgrades in Canada and has been approved for use with the third largest CDMA wireless carrier in Canada and the US. Chameleon CTM 132 is the first industrial data modem designed to support Mobile IP, thereby maintaining the same IP address across different network areas and carrier networks.
