Verizon to acquire Huges; M2M Motives

Verizon Communications is acquiring Hughes Telematics, Inc. in order to double down on machine-to-machine space for 612 million.  Before the announcement, Huges was traiding for $4.35 and Verizon is offering $12/share.  Hughes currently provides M2M connectivty for commercial fleets, OEM, mobile health industry and others.
