Verizon 4G LTE Sim Types
Now that Verizon Wireless is using sim cards for their 4G LTE network it's easier than ever to use multiple devices under a single account. Previously users on 3G CDMA networks needed to go online or contact Verizon to do an "ESN swap", and now all you need to do is pull the sim card and insert into a different device. However, as you can see from the video above certain devices (namely the MiFi 4620L) use a Micro Sim, while all other 3G/4G modems use a standard sized sim card. So, what exactly does that mean for you? If you have zero intent on using more than one modem, it's not going to matter what type of sim card your device uses. However, if you plan to use a dedicated modem and router combo at home, or a ARC or COR IBR series Cradlepoint router you must have a device with a standard sized sim card. This is a very important note for any user that plan to have a dedicated home setup, but wants to swap the sim card to a MiFi when they travel for business, or go on a family trip.
