Cradlepoint Releases Firmware 4.2.0 for CBR400/CBR450/MBR95/MBR1200B/MBR1400/IBR600/IBR650

CradlePoint has released Firmware Version 4.2.0 for the CBR400, CBR450, MBR95, MBR1200B, MBR1400 (left), IBR600, and IBR650 routers. This latest firmware release adds support for several new devices, including the popular Sprint Tri-Mode Franklin U770 3G/4G USB, as well as added some new features and fixed a few bugs.

Firmware 4.2.0 added the following features:

• NHRP (Next Hop Resolution Protocol) - MBR1400/IBR600/IBR650 only
• DHCP relay - MBR1400/IBR600/IBR650/CBA750 only
• Per-client web filtering & data usage - MBR1400/IBR600/IBR650/CBA750 only
• Admin username/password can now be configured to use RADIUS or TACACS+ - MBR1400/IBR600/IBR650/CBA750 only
• GPS updates for IBR600/IBR650
• IP settings overrides
• Custom AT scripting to modems
• Firmware upgrade & system config restore

Finally, firmware 4.2.0 fixed the following defects/bugs found in previous versions:

• Data usage UI page now works properly on the MBR95
• Hotspot usage statistics have been repaired
• MBR95 + MiFi 4620L WiFi as WAN problems fixed
• Status/Internet Connections -> Statistics -> Connection Uptime was changed from seconds to days:hours:minutes.
