QUALCOMM Announces 2005 3G A-List Awards Winners

Organizations Honored for Innovative Wireless Mobility Implementations Based on 3G CDMA Technology

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM - News), a leading developer and innovator of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and other advanced wireless technologies, today announced the winners of the third annual 3G A-List(TM) Awards at CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment 2005. After receiving a host of innovative nominations from a wide range of companies, public agencies and non-profit organizations, and announcing 19 finalists, the judges selected nine winners whose wireless data solutions are based on third-generation (3G) CDMA2000 1X or 1xEV-DO technology. The winners were unveiled last night during a private reception hosted by QUALCOMM.

The 3G A-List Awards were created to honor mobility at work, recognizing innovative and successful commercially-deployed enterprise wireless data solutions based on 3G CDMA standards. The companies were judged based on creativity and innovation, overall business impact and quantifiable return on investment (ROI).

"This year's winners illustrate the benefits 3G CDMA can bring to an organization such as increasing productivity, improving customer service satisfaction, driving new revenue and lowering overall costs," said Kristin Taylor, director of enterprise business development for QUALCOMM. "For example, the number of nominated solutions based on 1xEV-DO technology quadrupled this year -- an indicator of the increasing adoption and value of 1xEV-DO in the enterprise.
