As of the writing of this story (10/4/2005), Verizon has much deeper and wider coverage than Sprint, BUT it is a moving target, it is best to check and double check before making a decision. Did you know that both Verizon and Sprint offer you the option to try their service and be able to return it (during the trial period), IF you are not completely happy with it. So, if you want to test Verizon and Sprint from the same laptop, it is possible to do. You need to get the Verizon Novatel V620 and the Sprint Merlin S620 cards. These cards are technically identical, however, one works with Verizon and one works with Sprint. Here are the steps to follow:
When you are done, you can now use Verizon's VZAccess Manager for BOTH Verizon and Sprint. This will allow you to easily see Signal Strength (you need to rotate cards), and easily test BOTH Verizon and Sprint from the same laptop. ![]() Related Articles: |
