IMPORTANT, the Dormant Killer application may no longer be effective. We no longer encourage everyone to keep their card from going dormant, as it does tie up resources on the EVDO tower, which can impact other users. For those doing VPN or doing a live demo (and you don't want to have dormancy kick in, we recommend the EVDO Dormant Killer URL. We had a lot of feedback regarding the Dormant Killer tip. To review, your connection goes into dormant mode, if you do not have activity for 30 seconds or so. Once in dormant mode, it can take 5 - 10 seconds to reconnect to the network. The trick used before, was to load a web page that refreshed every 15 seconds, and that would keep your connection out of the dormant mode.
