Blue Tree Wireless Data Launches Its High Speed EvDO Wireless Modems - IP 4600 and 'First to market' GPS 5600 LAUNCHES ITS HIGH SPEED EvDO WIRELESS MODEMS – IP 4600 AND 'FIRST TO MARKET' GPS 5600 New Features Enhance Speed, Network Reliability and GPS Accuracy of Rugged Modems MONTREAL, QUEBEC, January 10, 2006 - BlueTree Wireless Data Inc., a leading provider of commercial and industrial wireless modems for the rapidly growing worldwide M2M market, announced today the extension of their family of modems with the launch of two new EvDO products; the IP 4600 and the GPS 5600 – the only EvDO GPS wireless modem available on the market. Developed to provide simple and reliable communications, they are designed to support both mobile data and telemetry applications. Providing superior network reliability and GPS accuracy, new features of the IP 4600 and GPS include: · A second cellular antenna connector that improves receiver sensitivity by up to 3dB on both 800 MHz and 1900 MHz bands, resulting in increased connectivity coverage and reliability · Embedded in the GPS 5600, Trimble's new ultra-low power GPS receiver, the LassenÒ iQ module that supports TAIP and NMEA 0183 message protocols. It features 12-channel simultaneous operation with Dual Sensitivity modes and automatic switching for improved GPS accuracy. "Our latest wireless modems respond to the needs of our customers whose applications require the 3G speed that enable faster data exchange and a higher quality experience," said Karl Hantho, Chief Executive Officer of BlueTree Wireless Data. "Our customers in the public safety market can access mission critical records quicker and more efficiently. Mobile computing customers benefit from increased productivity and we are providing our enterprise customers a business quality wireless back-up capability for the WAN and landline infrastructure." Leveraging BlueTree's powerful core architecture of the IP and GPS Series of products these new modems continue to provide: · Intelligent functionality including BlueTree's Smart Connection Management capability · Interface connectors that support legacy wireless data systems · Embedded software to support 'serial-over-IP' applications For use in extreme conditions, the IP 4600 and GPS 5600 are built to meet the special operating requirements for both mobile installations and fixed industrial applications. These rugged modems are tested by an independent laboratory to meet the MIL-STD-810F military specifications and the SAE J1455 (Society of Automotive Engineers) specifications for vibration, temperature, shock and humidity – industry benchmarks for reliability, performance and durability. BlueTree's BlueVue Management Software combines the power of graphical client software with the embedded intelligence inside the modem's firmware for simple installation and configuration. Using a local cable connection or a remote wireless data connection, these modems can be easily monitored and managed. The IP 4600 and the GPS 5600 have received carrier certification on two major North American CDMA EvDO networks. Additional network approvals will be announced shortly. Product availability is January 2006. ![]() ![]() Related Articles: |
