Finally, the wait for an ExpressCard for EVDO is over! ExpressCards Are Now In Stock - Order by 4pm PST, Ship Today, Get Delivery Tomorrow! Use an ExpressCard in your laptop with a PCMCIA slot. This is NOT the version that Verizon sells - this one works. Read about the ExpressCard/34 to PC Card Adapter. Verizon launched the Novatel V640 on August 3, 2006 (see press release).
We are now SHIPPING the Novatel V640 ExpressCards! The cost is $99 for a V640 with a 2 year plan (Verizon charges $179 for this). IMPORTANT: If you are looking to purchase the new card without service (if you simply want to upgrade your old card, for instance, you need to order upgrades directly from Verizon. Verizon will be the only vendor with ExpressCards initially. Sprint has not yet announced plans to sell or support an ExpressCard option for EVDO. Related Articles:
