The desktop computer was a PowerMac G5 which is connected on a T1 line. In iChat, we used the following Video Bandwidth settings: Depending on the coverage area, you may need to change this to 100kps or increase this up to 500kps. Failure to lower the bandwith use, will get you an error, similar to the one in the error log of the Connection Doctor (see below). The remote was a PowerBook G4 connected via a PC 5220 card in a 4 bar EVDO area. In iChat, we used the following Video Bandwidth settings. Below is a screen shot of what the 2 way video chat. When I took the screen shot, it happened to be a bit lower in quality - the quality was actually better then what you see here. ![]() Here is a screen shot of the connection doctor, showing that we were getting 15 fps in both directions. ![]() For our next test, we will do a EVDO to EVDO video chat and also do a video chat live while going 60 MPH. *** Important Note *** If everyone that gets EVDO uses 2 way video chat, I am sure the performance will affect other users - so please use responsibly.
