If you are not in an EVDO Coverage area, it drops down to what is called a 1xRTT connection, which is MUCH slower than EVDO. If you look where the signal bars are, it will say EVDO or 1xRTT. If you are in a 1xRTT (slower), you will get performance that is 2x - 3x dialup speed, but that depends on the number of signal bars you are getting (4 bars will be faster than 1 bar). So in summary: BroadbandAccess = EVDO = 300k - 500K download, 50K - 100K upload NationalAccess = 1xRTT = 50K-100K upload and download We are an Authorized Verizon Agent.
