Sprint has a very cool Tower Locator - not yet showing EVDO, but may give you a better idea of where towers are in your area (most likely ones that will be upgraded for EVDO?)
Antenna-Booster-Store.com already has an optimized booster antenna in stock for the AirCard 580, which Sprint is now selling. The antenna helps both 1xRTT and EVDO signals.
