We're still a long way off off from seeing nationwide 4G coverage to rival the coverage of 3G, but CLEAR and Sprint are working hard to expand their footprint to make 4G a viable option for more users. Today they launched two new markets in Texas: Austin and San Antonio. Below is an experpt from Sprint's press release announcing the Austin launch: The wireless future just arrived in Austin. Sprint (NYSE: S) today announced the launch of Sprint 4G mobile broadband throughout the Austin area. As a result, streaming video, fast file downloads and uploads and turbo-charged web browsing are no longer just home, office or coffee shop benefits. Sprint 4G customers can enjoy a blazing fast wireless mobile broadband experience across the city, whether they’re working at a remote location, taking a break on campus, sitting at a favorite eatery, or as a passenger on the freeway or public transportation.
