3Gstore is introducing a 3200mAh extended life battery for the HTC EVO 4G that provides TWICE the battery life than the standard battery that comes with the EVO 4G! Our extended life battery provides a 3200 mAh capacity, whereas the stock battery only provides 1500 mAh capacity. This is the longest-lasting replacement battery available for the HTC EVO!

This extended life battery is larger than the stock battery, and requires a larger battery door (included). While this does make the EVO slightly bulkier, the size difference is not dramatic - and the vastly improved battery life far outweighs the slight increase in size! See the size difference below:

HTC's specifications for the stock 1500 mAh battery claim that you can get up to 312 minutes of talk time on the EVO 4G or up to 146 hours of standby time. This means that the 3200 mAh extended life battery will provide up to 660 minutes of talk time or up to 310 hours of standby time for the EVO 4G!

We put the stock battery & extended life battery through a vigorous testing process to ensure that the extended battery life would provide twice the battery life when using the most power consuming applications.

Testing Conditions:

Wireless Radios Enabled: 3G, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS
Brightness Level: MAX (Auto Adjust Disabled)
Screen timeout: NEVER

To ensure that there aren't any variables in our testing that may skew the results, we ensured that the exact same conditions and tasks were performed on both tests. For our testing purposes, we played an episode of a video podcast on repeat until the phone ran out of battery. KEEP IN MIND THAT WE INTENTIONALLY USED SETTINGS THAT WILL QUICKLY DRAIN BATTERY LIFE AND THAT AVERAGE BATTERY LIFE FROM NORMAL USE WOULD BE MUCH LONGER.

Here are the results from our testing:

Stock Battery: 2 hours, 31 minutes

Extended Battery: 6 hours, 19 minutes

As you can see, the extended life battery lasted almost three hours longer than the stock battery while using the most power-consuming settings for the phone. Since our tests were performed using the most power-consuming settings, we have created a chart below to give you an idea of how much time the extended battery will provide you based on your current battery life with the stock battery:

If you're getting this much usage time with the stock battery (1500 mAh)... You can expect approximately this much time with the Extended Battery (3200 mAh):
5 Hours 10.5 Hours
6 Hours 12.75 Hours
7 Hours 14.75 Hours
8 Hours 17 Hours
9 Hours 19 Hours
10 Hours

21.25 Hours

The below video demonstrates the size difference between the standard and extended EVO batteries:
