Apple iPhone and iPad App Store using to much data?

If you've ever wondered how much data your Apple or Android smartphone is using Onavo has an application designed to help you track your data usage. If you look at the picture above you'll notice that Video/Audio, Web Browsing and iTunes/App Store are the top three sources were customers use the most data. With companies like AT&T and Verizon moving to smaller usage based tiers it may pay to start saving those app downloads for your home computer. This would allow you to save more of your bandwidth for surfing the web, using Google maps and watching your favorite videos. In this data it's interesting to find applications like Facebook only consume 2.8% of data considering it's loaded with friends photo's and videos. This application is a free download for both the iPhone and Android OS and may be worth downloading if you find yourself constantly going over your 2GB cap!
