Best Buy Recalls Overheating Mophie Cases

Today a couple of recall notices went out for Mophie and Rocketfish battery cases. If you purchased a Mophie case for the fourth-generation iPod touch be sure to check the case serial numbers. If they're between TR113 and TR120 your case is defective and may cause overheating, which could deform the plastic and damage the iPod touch. If you have an affected unit please stop using it and either call (877) 308-4581 or fill out a form on Mophie's site - Mophie juice pack air™ Exchange Program

Best Buy has also issued a recall for their Rocketfish mobile battery case model RF-KL12, which has a defect on the inner surface of the case. Models affected by this case are the iPhone 3 and 3GS, which could also overheat causing fire hazards. You may contact Best Buy at (800) 917-5737 or visit - Best Buy Rocketfish Recall For customers that have defective models we'd recommend checking out the Tekkeon MyPower battery pack for iPhone 4/4S or the TekCharge MP1860.
