AT&T tries settling throttled user case

In the beginning of March an AT&T user successfully sued AT&T after they artificially throttled his unlimited data account. The customer Mattew Spaccerelli was awarded $850 by a judge, however, AT&T wasn't going to let this go and attempted to settle. A law firm retained by AT&T contacted Matthew Spaccarelli threatening to shut off his phone service if he didn't sit down and talk. The letter also asked Spaccarelli to be quite about the settlement talks because they were the one to start them. Shortly after the suit hit the news AT&T was quick to adjust their unlimited data plans, and are now giving unlimited users up to 3GB before the throttling occurs, up from 2GB earlier this year.
