Is your ISP slowing down the Internet? You better believe it!

“ISPs are deliberately harming the service they deliver to their paying customers,” writes Level 3′s Mark Taylor. “They are not allowing us to fulfill the requests their customers make for content.”

Level 3 helps connect larger ISPs like AT&T, Vodafone, and Comcast to the Internet.

The company is claiming that unnamed companies are degrading the speed by which users receive their bandwidth on the Level 3 network. The ISPs are described as “large broadband consumer networks with a dominant or exclusive market share in their local market.”

This is not the first time that large ISPs have been accused of this practice. Netflix, earlier this year was ”forced” to sign direct traffic deals with both Comcast and Verizon and will likely continue this practice with others.
