Verizon is Killing Off 3G Networks!

We came across the news earlier today that Verizon is starting to shut down its older, slower 3G Network. This is apparently in an effort to make more space for the 4G LTE Network. Right now, 80% of Verizon data traffic is carried on LTE. While 3G is expected to go the way of the dinosaurs, 2G is primarily used for Voice so expect it to stick around for a while.
