New Cradlepoint COR IBR600B and 650B with Cat4 Modem

Cradlepoint has released an update to the popular COR IBR series of M2M and mobile routers. The new COR IBR600B-LP4 and COR IBR650B-LP4 don't replace the previous LPE modems, rather they offer some additional functionality at a lower cost of entry.

The COR IBR600/650B have embedded Cat4 cellular modems with automatic carrier selection based on the detected SIM card. Cat4 means the modems do NOT support Sprint, there is no Verizon 3G support, no Canadian carrier support, nor any GPS functionality. What Cat4 does mean is 150/50Mbps modem speeds vs 100/50Mbps on Cat3 devices.
The new B models will also sport a full featured Software Development Kit (SDK). This SDK will allow for custom application development in Python, something other no other Cradlepoint allows. These new units also have Gigabit ethernet ports, support a second modem via a dual modem dock just like the current IBR1100/1150, and have a voltage tolerance of 9-33V instead of just 9-18V.

The new Cradlepoint models will be available at 3Gstore. The WiFi enabled COR IBR600B is just $549.99 , while the non WiFi COR IBR650B is only $499.99. Not sure which Cradlepoint is right for you? Contact the experts at 3Gstore and we'll find a solution for your unique needs.
